Gerold Miller (born in Altshausen, Germany in 1961) is a Berlin-based artist. His work consisting of high-gloss paint on aluminum represents his desire to explore the visual transformation where a three-dimensional object becomes a two-dimensional surface. It is in this pictorial presentation between painting and sculpture where objectivity becomes abstraction. With his bold use of color and strong geometric elements, Miller's work certainly challenges the borders between abstract painting and minimalist sculpture.
